    The program emphasizes hands-on learning and excellence in design.u00a0 During first and second years, focus is placed on strengthening math, science, and developing basic engineering skills.u00a0 In third and fourth year, focus is placed on core mechanical engineering courses and technical electives. The BSME degree program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABETu00a0 (http://main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx).u00a0 With this seal of approval, students are guaranteed to enjoy a modern learning experience driven by specific learning outcomes and focused around professionally-driven skills and competencies. The BS degree program in mechanical engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET. Upon completion of the required program of study, students are awarded the Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, we offer BSME students Concentrations in Advanced Manufacturing or Energy Science and Technology.

If you’re learning to program for the first time, or if you’re coming from a different language, this course, JavaScript: Getting Started, will give you the basics for coding in JavaScript. First, you’ll discover the types of applications that can be built with JavaScript, and the platforms they’ll run on.

Next, you’ll explore the basics of the language, giving plenty of examples. Lastly, you’ll put your JavaScript knowledge to work and modify a modern, responsive web page. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge in JavaScript to create simple programs, create simple web applications, and modify web pages.
