Thrive in hands-on environments and pay attention to details?u00a0 Then you may be a good fit for Job Corpsu2019 Building Construction Technology, Pre-Apprentice training program.u00a0Pre-apprenticeships are focused on preparing students for a successful experience in a registered apprenticeship program. That means your hands-on training will be based on industry standards in order to prepare you for high-skill, quality employment.u00a0On the job, you will ... Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, flooring, plumbing, electrical systems and HVAC systems, usually in large buildings. Diagnose issues and decide the best way to fix them. Use blueprints and meet with clients to estimate repairs or costs. Be expected to be organized and keep detailed records of your work. In the Building Construction Technology, Pre-Apprentice training program, you will earn industry-recognized credentials from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).u00a0u00a0Students should also earn a state-issued learneru2019s permit and driveru2019s license upon completion of the program.

If you’re learning to program for the first time, or if you’re coming from a different language, this course, JavaScript: Getting Started, will give you the basics for coding in JavaScript. First, you’ll discover the types of applications that can be built with JavaScript, and the platforms they’ll run on.

Next, you’ll explore the basics of the language, giving plenty of examples. Lastly, you’ll put your JavaScript knowledge to work and modify a modern, responsive web page. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge in JavaScript to create simple programs, create simple web applications, and modify web pages.
