About the Program

Computer Foundations 1 takes 24 hours in class, usually taught in 2-hour classes, 3 days a week. COST: Byte Back courses are at no cost for all Scholars CLASS DESCRIPTION: Youu2019re only a beginner until you decide to become something more. Computer Foundations 1 is a great starting place for adults that have little to no experience with computers. Throughout the course, students will create a base for digital success. Once the course is complete, students will be able to perform basic computer tasks in their personal and professional lives. This course also prepares students to move up into higher levels of training with Byte Back. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: In this class, students can expect to learn: - How to use a mouse - Touch typing - Computer parts and processes, such as files, folders, and storage - Email basics, such as account setup, sending, receiving, and including attachments - Internet basics, such as search setup and how to find resources
