Construction Academy
About the Program
The construction academy is fully funded by a Maryland Works for Wind grant. There will be no cost to selected applicants. The program will run for 13 weeks (260 hours), five days per week for four hours per day (8 a.m. to noon) starting in the spring of 2024. OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR/AED, Rigging, Fall Safe and Confined Space certifications can be earned, which tie directly into the offshore wind industry. Discover basic construction techniques while practicing and applying carpentry skills on various projects to hone your skills.
