Construction Craft Laborer
About the Program
Construction craft laborers work in a variety of settings including highways, buildings and other construction projects. They perform a wide variety of duties using numerous types of hand and power tools. Course topics include safety, construction math, hand and power tools, construction drawings, riggings, communication skills, employability skills, materials handling and construction drawings. Specific focus is placed on properties of concrete, site layout, differential leveling, as well as handling and placing concrete, foundations and slab on grade. Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the Construction Craft Laborer Level 1 credential exam offered by the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER).
