Electrical Technician Program
About the Program
Electricians install electrical systems in structures; they install wiring and other electrical components, such as circuit breaker panels, switches, and light fixtures; and they follow blueprints, the National Electrical Codeu00ae, and state and local codes. To prepare learners for a career in the electrical field, students utilize the NCCER Electrical Program, a comprehensive four-level electrical curriculum that complies with the Department of Labor time-based standards for registered apprenticeships. Each level is divided into two consecutive classes (Part 1 and Part 2). Instruction consists of both classroom (theory) and lab (hands-on) training throughout the program.
