About the Program

This program will provide students with a solid background of electrical practices and principles as well as an understanding of the National Electrical Code requirements. The course will prepare students with industrial safety concepts and practices, industrial methods and tools used, basic wiring practices, AC/DC circuits, mechatronics and college success skills. Students will develop skills in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Students will train on state-of-the-art equipment used in industry and provide students with practical knowledge of safe wiring practices dealing with electrical motors and many of the devices used to control industrial processes. Students will gain an understanding in Ohmu2019s law, voltage, KCL, KVL, and electric power.
