The Baltimore-D.C. Building Trades is the Local Affiliate of North Americau2019s Building Trades Unions that supports the 22 construction unions in the greater Baltimore/Washington, DC/Northern Virginia region - which represent thousands of skilled craft professionals in the building and construction industry. Its mission is to work with industry, government and community leaders to raise industry standards and provide opportunity. By encouraging public and private investments in the construction industry that will provide continued and increased access to career training and employment, the Baltimore-D.C. Building Trades promote opportunities through partnerships in pre-apprenticeship and jointly-managed apprenticeship programs throughout the greater Baltimore/Washington, DC/Northern Virginia region while providing value to the industry and strengthening the communities in which we live and work.

If you’re learning to program for the first time, or if you’re coming from a different language, this course, JavaScript: Getting Started, will give you the basics for coding in JavaScript. First, you’ll discover the types of applications that can be built with JavaScript, and the platforms they’ll run on.
Next, you’ll explore the basics of the language, giving plenty of examples. Lastly, you’ll put your JavaScript knowledge to work and modify a modern, responsive web page. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge in JavaScript to create simple programs, create simple web applications, and modify web pages.
