Students are given instruction in manipulative skills and technical knowledge for mixing and pouring concrete, designing and building fireplaces and chimneys, and other required competencies for masonry workers. Safety practices are emphasized constantly. Participation in SkillsUSA student organization activities is highly recommended. This course covers the competencies needed to take a certification test. Working at offsite jobs is reserved for students of Masonry II and III.
