About the Program
Precision Machining Technology (PMT), for students in grades 11 and 12, is a college-level, tuition-free, two-year, concurrent enrollment program offered by Chesterfield Career & Technical Center (CCTC) and Brightpoint Community College (BPCC) in Chester. These parts, shaped and sized with precision, are used in the assembly of planes, trains, and automobiles, furniture, jewelry, cell phones, and just about any other imaginable manufactured product. The same machines are also used to make unique manufacturing machine tools an other specialized tools like medical and dental instruments. PMT prepares students for advanced manufacturing careers that are high-wage, high-tech and in high demand!
